Elected to the Punjab Vidhan Sabha for the first time in the year 2017 and now again in 2022 from Budhlada Constituency. Before joining politics, worked tirelessly for spreading education in the society, worked as a teacher, Lecturer (Economics) and then as Principal in Government Schools. Actively participated as Member of Library Committee, Committee on Local Bodies and Panchayati Raj Institutions, Committee on Government Assurances and various other Committees of Punjab Vidhan Sabha during first term 2017-22. Presently Chairman of Committee on Public Undertakings of Punjab Vidhan Sabha.
