             Elected to the Punjab Vidhan Sabha for the first time in the year 2017 and now for the second consecutive term in the year 2022. Prior to entering mainstream politics, worked as Assistant Professor at Mata Gujri College, Sri Fatehgarh Sahib. During the first term (2017-22), remained Member of the Committee on Subordinate Legislation of Punjab Vidhan Sabha in the year 2017-18 and Member of the Committee on Subordinate Legislation, Local Bodies and Panchayati Raj Institutions of Punjab Vidhan Sabha in the year 2018-19. During the second term (2022-27), remained Chairperson of the Committee on Questions and References during the year 2022-23, and presently Chief Whip of the Aam Aadmi Party for the 16th Punjab Vidhan Sabha.
