Elected to the Punjab Vidhan Sabha for the first time in the year 2022 from Ludhiana (North) Assembly Constituency. Prior to that, was nominated as Vice Chairman Punjab Trade Board from 2008 to 2012 and 2014 to 2017 and was given the rank of State Minister. Remained, Councillor in the Municipal Corporation Ludhiana for two consecutive terms from 1997 to 2007. Remained, Member of Committee on Local Bodies and Committee on Government Assurances Committee, committee on Public undertakings and also Buddha Nala and Ghaggar Committee of Punjab Vidhan Sabha during 2022-23. Presently Member of Committee on Local Bodies of Punjab Vidhan Sabha for the year 2023-24
