Elected and served people as Municipal Councillor continuously three times from ward number 76 of Ludhiana West for years 2007-2012, 2012-2017 & 2017-2022. Appointed as President of District Congress Committee (Urban) for the period from 2014-2019. Served as Chairman Punjab Small Industries and Export Corporation (PSIEC) from 2019-2022. Remained member of Committee on Estimates and Committee on Local Bodies of Punjab Vidhan Sabha during the year 2022-23. Appointed as Chairman, Committee on Local Bodies of Punjab Vidhan Sabha  for the first time for the financial year 2022-2023 and again appointed as Chairman, Committee on Local Bodies for the current financial year 2024-2025.
