Elected to the Punjab Vidhan Sabha for the first time in the year 2022 from Malout Constituency. Prior to entering politics, practiced medical profession and served as Medical Surgeon in the Eye Department. As a sense of duty towards society and welfare gesture towards poor, operated eyes of 17,000 patients free of cost. Operated more than 100 blind patients and retrieved their eyesight. Taken into the Cabinet by Hon'ble Chief Minister in the year 2022, and till date serving as Minister for Social Justice, Empowerment & Minorities, Social Security, Women and Child Development, Government of Punjab.
