Remained Chairman, Punjab Energy Development Agency and Punjab Mandi Board, Chairman Block Samiti (Verka), and President District Congress Committee. Remained Member of Committee on Local Bodies and Panchayati Raj Institutions, Library Committee and Committee on Paper Laid/To be Laid on the Table of Punjab Vidhan Sabha. Served as Cabinet Minister for Revenue, Rehabilitation & Disaster Management, Water Resources and Mining & Geology from 21st April, 2018 to 6th June, 2019 and Cabinet Minister for Housing and Urban Development, Water Resources, Mining and Geology from 6th June, 2019 to 20th September, 2021 and Cabinet Minister for Housing and Urban Development and Water Resources, Government of Punjab from 26th September, 2021 to 16th March, 2022. Chairman, Committee of the House to inquire into and make suggestions into the causes of farmer suicides and economic distress of the farm labours due to debt in the State, 2017-18. In the present term, Chairman of the Committee on Public Accounts during 2022-23. Now Member of Committee on Paper Laid and Library, and Committee on Public Accounts of Punjab Vidhan Sabha for the year 2023-24.
